Woodies Racing Battles through illness at ERX // RDS 11&12 // 2022 Season

Milaca, MN (March 14th, 2022) - For rounds 11 & 12 of the 2022 Snocross Season we got to stay home! Not on the sofa or in bed but at our home track, ERX Motorpark in Elk River, MN. In Minnesota fashion, the fans showed up in full force packing the bleachers and race pits. ERX always has a special energy, it is more than just a snocross race it is a festival with food trucks, music, fans, campfires, plenty of beers, and some of the best racing you can catch. As for Woodies Racing, we made lots of new friends, collected more championship points, and saw improvements from our riders despite them battling bad colds.

Taven Woodie #873 - Pro Women

Taven pushed as hard as she could this weekend fighting off a cold and struggling with some serious congestion. On Friday she was able to claim two much-needed wins collecting points valuable to the season championship. She was able to rest between qualifying and the final giving her the energy to pull off a 2nd in the Friday night final. After pushing her body so hard her cold really caught up with her with a restless night, she came into Saturday's racing at a disadvantage, despite the odds being against her she powered through to a 2nd in round 1 and 3rd in round 2. An absolutely drained Taven Woodie pushed herself as hard as she could in Saturday night's final to claim a 3rd for a weekend of back-to-back podiums. With two events left this season, there is still time for her to make upward moves in the championship with only 41 points separating her from 2nd.

Dylan Roes #112 - Pro Lite

Dylan was also in the same boat as Taven fighting through a cold to compete, we again saw racing from him that wowed not only us but also ISOC themselves as they even shared his Saturday Qualifying race battle between him and Camryn Anderson to their social media! Friday he went 8th in round 1 due to a crash and 4th on round 2. Saturday was his day to shine taking 5th in his first round and winning round 2! We are so impressed with the progress he has made this season, two more events and better results every event gets us excited to see what he has in store!

Trent Wittwer #115 - Pro

After attempting to practice Friday Trent, unfortunately, decided to pull the plug on racing for the day, going to receive a hydration IV with hopes of racing Saturday. He still felt too sick to ride and did not compete Saturday either. We hope that with the few days until rounds 13 & 14 in Lake Geneva he is able to rest up and get back in fighting shape!
