Woodies Racing Battles Weather and Mechanicals in Fargo // RDS 5&6 // 2022 Season
(Milaca, MN February 7th, 2022) - For round 3 of the 2022 Amsoil Snocross National Series Woodies Racing loaded up and headed North to Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo, ND. ISOC (the organizing body) gave us one of the biggest tracks that we have seen in years comparable to a supercross track with a variety of different styles of corners, several whoop sections, and some very sizable doubles! Of course, it wouldn’t be one of the toughest events in the season without -20 degree temps on Friday and 30+ mph winds on Saturday. We feel that walking away from Fargo as a team we have learned a lot and are continuing to move our way up in the standings as the Mid-season approaches.
Taven Woodie #873 - Pro Women
Quitting is not in this girl's vocabulary, it is not something we ever see her do, if she can stand she can race. Racing Friday Taven was able to take a Win in her first round and second in her second round of racing setting her up for an exciting final. However she was in a collision with another rider in the final, leaving her Upper control arm snapped, she still pushed her sled through the race in order to collect the valuable points that were on the line for the 2022 championship. She came back Saturday and was plagued off the start with a mechanical in her first round of racing, which ended up with a crash and her needing to visit the team at FXR Mobile Medical for seven stitches in her forehead, not even this could stop her. Kaden Woodie and the team got right to fixing her sled and she was able to go on to win her second round and push hard in the final to take third and get on the podium! We could not be more proud of the drive and commitment that she has to the sport, the team, and herself.
Dylan Roes #112 - Pro Lite
As a team we are very impressed with Dylan’s performance in Fargo, since the beginning of the season, he has done nothing but make improvements and work his way up the Pro-Lite Rankings. Friday he was able to take back-to-back third-place finishes in rounds one and two which sent him straight into the final. Unfortunately, he was involved in not only one but two multi- rider pileups off the start. He pushed through the mechanicals that these caused and into a twelfth place finish. Saturday meant an early morning prepping the sled but it was worth it as he hit the track claiming a third in round one and fifth in round two, again going straight into the final. He again got the short end of the stick but tried his best and was able to push his sled into fourteenth. Going into the fourth stop of the national series in his home state with results building like they have he is ready to kick some butt!
Trent Wittwer #115 - Pro
Trent pushed through the frigid temperatures Friday to sixth in round one and seventh in round 2. Despite starting in the back row, Trent rode fast and consistent to fight his way up to 9th. Saturday however didn’t go as well for him, after taking fifth in round 1 he hurt his wrist and had to limp through the rest of the day on injury, only taking starts and finishes to claim those points for the overall. Luckily he has some time to rest, heal and strengthen that injury before we head to New York!
